Spring 2025 · Typography / Printmaking
This project explored typographic composition by transforming a meaningful quote into a design that would later be carved and printed as a woodblock. The objective was to communicate the message of the quote through thoughtful use of scale, spacing, and typography. I selected a lyric from a song by the artist MARINA and experimented with multiple typefaces, layouts, and visual structures to emphasize key words within the quote. Through critique and refinement, the design evolved into a vertical composition that balances hierarchy and readability. The final print demonstrates my ability to combine typography, composition, and print production techniques.
